La Reserva
This
newly built two-bedroom country house, "La Reserva", like
its nearby neighbour house, "El Torin" is for those who
prefer a rural aspect with peace and quiet. It can accommodate up
to four guests.
Located on
the edge of the Nature Park of the Almijara Mountains and set
among pine and olive trees, the two houses (about 100 metres apart)
have unbelievable views and an away-from-it-all tranquility. They
are 9 kms from the seaside town of Nerja and 2 kms from the charming
old village of Frigiliana. Guests will need a car for access and,
as the last kilometre of the road is dirt, should be experienced
drivers.

In addition
to the two bedrooms (one with double bed, one with twin beds), this
house has a spacious lounge with a fireplace, a kitchen-diner and
a bathroom with shower. Facilities include a fridge-freezer, a hob,
an mini-oven, a dishwasher, a washing machine, a CD-radio and satellite
TV (English and German channels).
We built this
house with natural and rustic materials: wood, handmade terracotta
tiles, cast-iron fittings and comfortable furniture all contribute
to its welcoming and cozy feeling. The walls are decorated with
original paintings from our own collection. There is a small library
with English and Spanish novels and fine-art books and a collection
of CDs, all of which complement the tranquil surroundings.

Outside there
is a terrace with a Bar-B-Q and a kidney-shaped pool (6 x 3 metres
x 1.7 deep max). From there, in addition to the magnificent views,
there are often sightings of the protected fauna of the area: eagles,
goats, squirrels and boars.
Because La Reserva
and El Torin are a short walk from one another, they are ideally
suited for groups who want nearby but separate accommodation.
